Old Fashioned Strawberry Soda

Fresh Strawberries, milk, ice cream and some soda makes an amazing Cream Soda. from #dietersdownfall.com This was such a fun drink to make! It’s a milkshake that’s spiked with soda! Whoa!

My daughter always orders a “pink soda” when we go to Chick-fil-A. That would be a Fruit Punch with Sprite. I wonder if they would make me a strawberry milkshake and add some Sprite. I’ll have to ask next time I go…

Strawberry Milkshakes with a bit of soda for an old fashioned flair! from #dietersdownfallThis delicious treat would be perfect for one of these hot afternoons. My friends in Central California and Phoenix- I’m talking to you! I don’t know how you do it… 100 degrees at 8pm is CRAZY!

I hope that you are able to hide next to the air conditioner vent and enjoy this simple and delicious snack. Or, in my case, lunch.

But, whatever… I won’t judge.

Enjoy an Old Fashioned Strawberry Soda and feel like a kid again! from #dietersdownfallI just want to point out that these Old Fashioned Sodas are only colored with the strawberries. The ones I picked were so juicy and red all the way through. There were no white centers and no tart ones. If you happen to have less than desirable strawberries, you can add some sugar to sweeten it and some food coloring to make it a bit more pink.

Stay Cool and enjoy the 100 days of Summer!!

  6. You surprised me. I’d expected you’d use soda water rather than ginger ale, but you know what, I’ll bet the tangy twist is even better. Looks delicious, Karyn. I love old fashioned sodas and I’m sure this creamy one would be fantastic!
